County Supervisor Ron Roberts will introduce and demonstrate a new mobile phone application for emergencies in San Diego County.
"The SD Emergency App contains disaster preparedness information, interactive checklists to help you create your emergency plan, build an emergency supplies kit, and when disaster strikes, the app will keep you and your family informed with emergency updates, interactive emergency maps, and shelter locations."

Proclamation
The council will announce Santee Health Awareness Month which is happening all month January. It features promotions from a variety of local health providers that should make it easier for residents to improve their health. Find a list of those promotions here.
Santee has greater instances of coronary heart disease, stroke, diabetes and obstructive pulmonary disease than the rest of the county.
Public Hearings
Council will hold a hearing considering adopting for mobile food trucks the same health grade ratings that apply to normal restaurants in Santee. The County recently adopted an such an ordinance for unincorporated areas and is suggesting cities do the same.
