SANTEE, CA — Patch reader Bob Ryan captured this photo of a dragonfly at Santee Lakes.

"It seems the dragonflies become very active around noontime and during warm/hot weather at Santee Lakes," Ryan said. "I usually take photos of birds at the lake, but for how hot it's been, the dragonflies have given us photographers something else to shoot!"
