East County DMV Office Now Open Earlier

EL CAJON, CA — The California Department of Motor Vehicles is now opening its El Cajon office and dozens of other field offices across the state an hour earlier.

Since July 1, to help ease customer wait times, the office in East County has opened at 7 a.m. every weekday except Wednesday. On Wednesdays, the office will continue to open at 9 a.m. and close at 5 p.m., according to the DMV.

The El Cajon DMV is located at 1450 Graves Ave., El Cajon.

Other San Diego County DMV offices that are open earlier include the locations in Oceanside, Poway, San Diego Clairemont, San Diego (Normal Street), San Marcos and San Ysidro. The Chula Vista field office has offered extended hours since last summer.

In addition, 62 DMV offices throughout the state, including five in the San Diego area, are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. every Saturday.
