East County Motorcyclist Ejected, Killed In Crash In South Bay
The Kawasaki motorcycle struck a broken-down car on northbound I-805 in Chula Vista, officials said.
LA MESA, CA — An East County motorcyclist was killed in a crash over the weekend in San Diego County, authorities said.
The crash happened around 11:45 p.m. Saturday, when a Kawasaki motorcycle struck a broken-down car on northbound Interstate 805, near East J Street in Chula Vista, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office.
The rider, Mark Darulis, 68, was ejected from the motorcycle. The La Mesa man was pronounced dead shortly after midnight Sunday, the medical examiner's office said.
