East County's 'Largest Dog Festival' Returning To Santee
Fido Fest will feature dog adoption opportunities, agility courses, a pet costume contest and a visit from the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile.
SANTEE, CA — Fido Fest, deemed East County's largest dog festival, returns Saturday to Santee.
The 10th annual event will feature a visit from the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile, dog agility courses, a pet costume contest, K-9 demonstrations from the San Diego County Sheriff's Office and Santee Fire Department, and adoption opportunities from more than 25 local rescue groups.
The free, family-friendly festival will also offer a dog wellness zone with free pet licensing and microchipping, as well as a vendor village with more than 50 pet-focused vendors. A donation drive benefiting participating rescue organizations will also take place.

"Whether you're looking to adopt, shop, learn, or simply enjoy a great day with your pup, Fido Fest has something for everyone," a news release from the city said.
Fido Fest will be held from 11 am. to 3 p.m. at Town Center Community Park East at 550 Park Center Drive in Santee.
