Elizabeth "Libby" Beckett Dies at 84
Longtime Santee resident Elizabeth Beckett died on June 8.
Longtime Santee resident Elizabeth "Libby" Beckett died on June 8, according to a recent obituary in UT San Diego.
Born in 1927 in Roanoke, Virginia, Elizabeth loved to travel, and trekked across the world and all 50 states.
In the 1950s she married John A. Carroll, gave birth to twins and moved to Tucson, AZ.

In 1970 she remarried to Robert L. Beckett and lived in Santee for 35 years, followed by five years in Alpine.
She made many friends operating "Libby's Classic Clothing."

A viewing will be held June 20 from 4-8 p.m. at Featheringill Mortuary, and a graveside funeral service June 21 at 11a.m. at El Cajon Cemetery.
