Grossmont College Theatre: `Tata Twins: The Remix’

The Grossmont College Theatre Arts Department will present the world premiere of “Tata Twins: The Remix,” a comedy about mistaken identity, at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, 9 and 10, and at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3 and 10, at the Stagehouse Theatre, located on campus, near Parking Lot #1 and the exterior Aztec wall mural. The public is invited to attend.

What would you do if you suddenly found out that world-famous rock star Lady Tata is your missing twin? The problem is; she doesn’t even know you exist. When Stefani travels to the big city in search of her long-lost sister, their identical looks but conflicting personalities wreak havoc with friends and family.

Featuring Grossmont College drama students, “Tata Twins: The Remix” is adapted by Grossmont College Theatre Arts instructor Jeannette Thomas and directed by Grossmont College Theatre Arts Department chair Beth Duggan. The play is a modern adaptation of the Roman comedy, “Menaechmi” by Plautus, and later served as the inspiration for Shakespeare’s “A Comedy of Errors.” “Tata Twins: The Remix” contains adult situations and language.
