Fish Under The Stars During 'Night Fishing' Thursday At Santee Lakes

SANTEE, CA — Night Fishing returns Thursday at Santee Lakes. The event takes place from 5-11:30 p.m. at Lakes 1-4.

"The Lakes are stocked every other week throughout the summer and the catfish tend to bite better as the sun goes down," event coordinator Greg Even said. "This is a unique opportunity to fish Lakes 1-4 at night."

Gate entrance costs $4 per vehicle. Fishing permits cost $10 for adults and $6 for juniors and seniors. A second pole stamp is $4. Permits can be purchased at the gatehouse.

Additional Night Finishing events are scheduled Aug. 3 and Aug. 17.
