Five Santee City Employees Honored for Job Excellence in 2012
John Keane, Linda Christensen, Kathy Valverde, Steve Miller and Jeff Hernandez received the "Values in Motion" award.

The annual "Values in Motion" award was recently given to five Santee city employees "for excellence in job performance and for living out the city’s mission, vision, and values."
John Keane, Linda Christensen, Kathy Valverde, Steve Miller and Jeff Hernandez were given the award this year. These employees were honored for various good works throughout 2012, including: Creating a system so fire crews can use iPads to perform inspections, eliminating paper forms; reducing energy costs by about $200,000 annually by enacting energy upgrades; and helping to acquire traffic grants totaling more than $1 million.
The City of Santee’s "Values in Motion" Awards program was created in 2004 to foster team building and reinforce core values that support the city’s mission to serve the public.
