The 2011 Grossmont Union High School Cheer Competition went down Wednesday night, beating the rain by contending in the gymnasium.

West Hills came out with second place in Varsity Advanced nearly keeping up with the stunning, and hard to beat, Granite Hills cheer squad, which went home as Grand Champions.

Teams competed at the junior varsity, varsity, varsity advanced and varsity co-ed levels, as well as jumper and tumbler competitions.
