Homicide Investigation Underway In San Diego's East County
A man was killed in the 100 block of West Main Street in El Cajon, according to the El Cajon Police Department.
EL CAJON, CA — Police were investigating a homicide Tuesday in San Diego's East County.
A possible assault was reported around 3 a.m. in the 100 block of West Main Street in El Cajon, according to the El Cajon Police Department.
"The victim was a known homeless man and had injuries consistent with blunt force trauma," Lt. K. MacArthur said.

First responders tried to revive the man, but he died at the scene, MacArthur said. The man's identity was withheld pending family notification.
