Joe Bill Hall Dies at 65

Married and memorialized at the Santee United Methodist Church, Joe spent his years coming and going from Santee.

Joe Bill Hall died April 26, according to a recent obituary in the Union Tribune.

In 1954, his family moved to Santee, where he attended Santee Elementary and graduated from El Capitan High School in 1964.

He served in the U.S. Navy in Vietnam and other stations, and was married to Linda Malzer at Santee United Methodist Church in 1967.

After the Navy he worked as a butcher, with his own shop in Fletcher Hills. And, he taught the Dare program and other classes at the Donovan State Prison for 22 years.

A memorial service was held at on May 5.
