Less Cops in Santee? That sounds good to me.

I've lived in areas with so many police officers that you can't pass a convenience store with out seeing at least one, and often as many as 3 on break. (Wichita, KS)

I have lived in communities where your stomach just clenches up when you see a cop because you know it's not a matter of if you will be pulled over but when.

I take pride in the fact that for the most part in San Diego County, and Santee in particular, the police don't have the time and resources to bully and harass the citizenry. If you need them, call them and they will come, but for the most part they leave people alone.

I'm not sure what that Sheriffs Volunteer car is all about that I see rolling around but I did notice they have a new car, the point is I would much rather see more volunteer work and community activism then on the payroll cops patrolling.
