LAKESIDE, CA — Authorities Thursday publicly identified a 65-year-old man who died in a July 16 motorcycle crash on state Route 67 in the community of Lakeside.

According to the county Medical Examiner's Office, Stephen John Corbin of Yucca Valley (California) died from multiple blunt-force injuries and there were no contributing factors.

According to California Highway Patrol news release, on July 16, Corbin was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle north on SR-67 at Slaughterhouse Canyon Road when "for reasons still under investigation, the driver allowed his vehicle to travel off the roadway, where it struck a concrete curb."

Corbin was ejected onto the road, suffered major injuries and died at the scene, according to the CHP.

According to a county ME's Office press release, a passerby saw Corbin lying on the roadway, called 9-1-1 and also attempted lifesaving measures until law enforcement arrived.
