Man Shot, Teen Stabbed During Fight In East County
A male juvenile was arrested and booked into juvenile hall for the stabbing, officials said. The suspect of the shooting was still at large.
LAKESIDE, CA — A man was shot and a teenage boy was stabbed during a fight over the weekend in San Diego's East County.
A shooting was reported shortly before 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the 12000 block of Woodside Avenue in Lakeside, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.
Deputies found a man who had suffered a gunshot wound and a 16-year-old boy who had been stabbed, sheriff's Lt. Chris Katra said. The man was taken to a hospital and was expected to survive his injuries. The teen was taken to a hospital, treated and later released.

A male juvenile was arrested and booked into juvenile hall for the stabbing, Katra said.
"The suspect of the shooting is still at large," Katra said. "Deputies and detectives conducted a thorough investigation and gathered evidence from the scene. The investigation is ongoing."

Authorities asked anyone with additional information about the case to contact San Diego County Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477. Tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a $1,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest.
