Missing Man From East County Found Safe
Bobby G. Applewhite, 69, suffers from memory loss and is unfamiliar with the area, officials said.

LAKESIDE, CA – A man with memory loss who went missing in Lakeside was found Tuesday nearly 24 hours after family members had last seen him.
Bobby G. Applewhite, 69, went missing around noon Monday, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department. He was considered at-risk because of memory loss and his unfamiliarity with the Lakeside area.

Sheriff's officials sought public help to find Applewhite a little before 9 a.m. Tuesday. By 9:45 a.m., the department announced Applewhite had been found. No details were released about how, when or where he was found.

LAKESIDE, CA – The San Diego County Sheriff's Department is asking for the public's help in finding a man who went missing in East County.
Bobby G. Applewhite, 69, was last seen by family members around noon Monday in Lakeside, according to the sheriff's department. He suffers from memory loss and is unfamiliar with the area.
Applewhite is black, 6-foot-1 and 166 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a tan boonie-style hat, red T-shirt with black vertical stripes, brown Dockers shorts and long white socks with velcro sandals.
Anyone with information about Applewhite was asked to call the sheriff's department at 858-565-5200.
