Motorcyclist Run Over, Killed On I-805 In El Cajon

EL CAJON, CA — A motorcyclist was killed after being thrown off his bike and run over on a freeway in the El Cajon area, authorities reported Monday.

Around midnight on Thursday, the southbound rider was ejected from the motorcycle, then landed within the traffic lanes of Interstate 805, just north of El Cajon Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Officers said multiple vehicles struck and ran over the motorcycle and the rider. He was pronounced dead on the scene. His name and age have not yet been released.

A toxicology report through the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office was pending, the CHP stated.

The cause of the crash was under investigation.
