Night Fishing Event Scheduled Thursday At Santee Lakes

SANTEE, CA — Fish under the stars Thursday at Santee Lakes.

Santee Lakes will continue its Night Fishing event series from 5-11:30 p.m. at Lakes 1-4.

"The Lakes are stocked every other week throughout the summer and the catfish tend to bite better as the sun goes down," event coordinator Greg Even said. "This is a unique opportunity to fish Lakes 1-4 at night."

Gate entrance costs $4 per vehicle. Fishing permits cost $10 for adults and $6 for juniors and senior. A second pole stamp is $4. Permits can be purchased at the gatehouse upon arrival.

Future Night Finishing events are scheduled July 20, Aug. 3 and Aug. 17.
