San Diego Baseball Academy Offers Free Batting Practice

The SDBA is offering complimentary batting practice for all kids and teens at the Stars Semipro baseball field.

The San Diego Baseball Academy (SDBA) welcomes all baseball players, from youth to high school age, to come out for complimentary batting practice every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The weekly sessions will be held at Stars Field, home of the San Diego Stars semipro baseball team, located one mile north of Barona Valley Ranch Casino off Wildcat Canyon Road (behind Barona Museum and Cultural Center). The non-profit SDBA is operated by longtime Stars manager Mickey Deutschman, who also has served as an area scout for the Atlanta Braves for more than 20 years.

The weekly workout offers live batting practice and use of the hitting cages, plus SDBA pitching instructors will also be available for guidance. Position work for infielders and outfielders will also be available.

SDBA staff members are dedicated to aiding those who are looking to advance thier skills to the "next level." It was established to provide a learning and coaching system based upon improving young baseball players. For further information, contact the Academy at (619) 448-7900 or visit the website.
