Santana Still Unbeaten; West Hills, Mount Miguel Win

The Sultans pound host El Capitan 56-6 in a tuneup for next week's game with 6-1 Mount Miguel.

Tyler Weiss caught a 33-yard touchdown pass from Kyle Gasner and carried in two scores from a yard out as Santana High improved to 8-0 Friday night by pounding host El Capitan 56-6 in a Grossmont Valley League game.

After El Cap scored first, Santana scored the game's final 56 points to ruin the Vaqueros' homecoming game. Spencer Love had touchdown runs of 55 and 8 yards, and Landon Lozoya added an 87-yard scoring run for the Sultans, who moved to 2-0 in league and have outscored their opponents 261-12 over the last five games.

In other East County action, West Hills gave Santee a second winner on Friday with a 45-23 victory over Granite Hills, Mount Miguel crushed El Cajon Valley 55-3, and .
