Hello Santee! Last week I was a guest of Cox Communications at the East County Chamber's 19th annual Women In Leadership Luncheon at Viejas Casino & Resort. It was a perfect afternoon of networking and getting to know one of Cox's newer team members, Allen Young, their Manager of Government Affairs. He was a gracious host and wonderful company as we were privileged to sit among friends as we heard the tale of Rose Schindler's life. Rose is an author, educator, and Holocaust Survivor who exemplified the theme of the event to a tee: Courage. Her story was so impactful, it was as if she has lived several lifetimes in her time by comparison to most people I know.    The second half of the program was announcing the winners among the over two dozen nominees. Congratulations to the honorees of 2021: Anna Marie Piconi Snyder - You Did It For Me, Inc.  Bobbi Brink - Lions, Tigers & Bears  Cheryl Wilson - St. Paul's Pace Elana Levens-Craig - Santee School District District Attorney Summer Stephan - County of San Diego Louise White - Sharp Grossmont Hospital
