It's been trout season since November, and SDFish.com suggests that using natural yellow Powerbait or inflated nightcrawlers as bait has been working best lately. Lakes 3, 4 and 5 seem to be best for trout.
Catfish are still biting, mostly on mackerel and nightcrawlers at Lake 4, according to SDFish.com.
