Santee Launches New Online Permitting And Licensing Portal
The city will no longer accept hard copy applications.

SANTEE, CA — Santee recently launched a new online platform. The Permitting and Licensing Portal aims to modernize the city's permit application and licensing processes.
Users will be able to apply for permits, submit plans, track the status of projects, schedule inspections, and apply for or renew Santee business licenses through the online platform. The portal, hosted by Tyler Technologies, also allows users to report a problem, submit a service request or notify code compliance.
The city seeks to enhance customer service and streamline permitting and licensing processes for the community through the Permitting and Licensing Portal, city officials said.

"We are committed to providing exceptional service and embracing technology advancements to improve the experience for our community members, contractors, current and future business owners and employees," City Manager Marlene Best said in a statement. "Santee's Permitting and Licensing Portal will increase efficiency, reduce paper, improve transparency, and expedite processing for permits, plans and licenses."
Portal users need to register at santeeportal.org. Customers can review user guides and submit applications online from their own computer or mobile device.

The city will no longer accept hard copy applications. All submissions must be made online, according to the city. The Planning and Building Department will have kiosks available on-site to help customers who bring in hard copy applications. Staff will also be available to assist customers with new submissions into the portal.
