Softball: West Hills Steals One from La Costa Canyon
Senior center fielder Taylor Hallahan equals a Wolf Pack record with six stolen bases in an 8-3 victory.
West Hills High used a three-run first inning which included steals of second, third and home by leadoff hitter Taylor Hallahan to race past La Costa Canyon High 8-3 Monday in a Falcon Fiesta softball tournament game in Santee.
The senior center fielder stole six bases in all to tie a West Hills school record. She also had three hits and scored three of the Wolf Pack's runs.
After the Mavericks scored a run in the top of the first, West Hills (6-3-1) answered with its three in the first and built an 8-1 lead going to the seventh. That's when Emma Capetz hit a two-run homer for LCC (5-6) to close out the scoring.

Cortney Horne went 2-for-3 for the Wolf Pack with a single, double and run scored.
