St. Paul's PACE Opening New Care Center In East San Diego County
St. Paul's PACE East Center in El Cajon will be the third PACE program site.

EL CAJON, CA – St. Paul's Senior Services is opening a new Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) in early March in San Diego's East County.
St. Paul's PACE East Center in El Cajon will be the third PACE program site. Other PACE programs are located in downtown San Diego and in Chula Vista.
Founded in 1960, St. Paul's Senior Services offers nine different programs, services and communities for seniors in San Diego County. The nonprofit opened its first PACE program in San Diego in 2008. The PACE program provides in-home care, transportation and personalized medical services so seniors can live independently at home.

"St. Paul's PACE has cared for more than 1,000 low-income and frail seniors, keeping them in their homes and out of skilled nursing," said Kim Stratman, the center director, in a statement.
"The East County of San Diego has wanted St. Paul's to open a center for some time because there is such a need," she added. "Research shows there are many low-income and frail seniors who will benefit from our program in this area. We are proud to finally be here."
