State Sen. Brian Jones To Host Open House At New District Office

The 38th District includes the cities of Lemon Grove, Santee, La Mesa, El Cajon, Poway, Escondido and San Marcos.

EL CAJON, CA – State Sen. Brian Jones, R-Santee, will hold an open house Tuesday at his new district office in California's 38th Senate District.

Jones beat Democrat and Cal Fire Capt. Jeff Griffith in the Nov. 6 election with 56 percent of the vote. He is succeeding termed-out former Sen. Joel Anderson, R-Alpine. Prior to serving in the state Senate, Jones represented Assembly District 71 from 2010 to 2016.

The 38th District includes roughly 30 percent of San Diego County, including the cities of Lemon Grove, Santee, La Mesa, El Cajon, Poway, Escondido and San Marcos. Jones has lived in the district since 1978.

"I am deeply honored to have been chosen by the constituents of the 38th State Senate district to serve as their representative in Sacramento," Jones said. "I am ready to return on their behalf and with my colleagues, bring some common sense back into the Capitol. I am committed to a government that works for all Californians, their voices will be heard."

The open house is open to the public, according to Jones' office. The event begins at 4:30 p.m. at 500 Fesler St., Suite 201, El Cajon. Residents interested in attending are advised to RSVP for planning purposes at bit.ly/jones1218.
