The Wood ā€˜n’ Lips Open Mic Newsletter

Once a week local musicians of all ages meet in Santee to play music and enjoy the night.

Hi All,

I was playing hooky at the Bluegrass and Folk Cruise along with eleven other of our open mic friends.Ā  There were about eighty music cruisers with about 20 being folkies.Ā  It was the bargain of the century and a heck of a lot of fun with some fine people.Ā  I hope we can increase the turn-out for next year, it’s a great way to expand your music skills and make friends from all over the state and Arizona.

Greg Gross and Bob Setzer kept the open mic rolling during my absence and between them they were able to provide notes and pictures.Ā  They had a full slate of performers even with a few of us out of town—there were even a few new performers.

It would be great if in the future we had to cancel the open mic for the week because everyone was on the cruise.
