Thief Steals Truck In Santee, Uses Stolen Debit Card In South Bay

SANTEE, CA – Authorities released a surveillance photo Thursday of a man suspected of identity and vehicle theft in Santee. San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the Santee Sheriff's Station are seeking the public's help in identifying the suspect.
The man allegedly stole a white 1999 Ford F350 between 11 p.m. on Dec. 4 and 5 a.m. on Dec. 5, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department. The truck was parked at the Walgreens Pharmacy located at 9305 Mission Gorge Road in Santee.
The owner of the truck left his debit card inside of the vehicle, officials said, as well as about $10,000 in tools locked inside a toolbox in the bed of the truck.

The debit card was used several times on Dec. 5 in the Eastlake area of Chula Vista, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.
Anyone with information on the identity or location of the suspect is asked to call the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at 888-580-8477. Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest in this case.
