The brothers were booked Monday into San Diego Central Jail on suspicion of multiple felony charges, including grand theft and conspiracy. During Shuaib Ahmed's arrest, officers found drugs intended for distribution, so he also faces charges of possession of drugs for sale, Reilly said.

"It is worth noting that both Ali and Shuaib Ahmed have extensive arrest records related to theft-related crimes, with Shuaib Ahmed currently on probation for burglary," Reilly added.
