Unbeaten Santana Wallops Canadian Opponent 70-0

El Capitan gets first win by turning back West Hills 31-10.

If the sport were hockey, the final score surely would have been a lot closer.

Santana High's football team improved to 6-0 Friday night with a 70-0 rout of Grande Prairie (5-3), a team visiting here from the northwestern part of the province of  Alberta.

The Sultans scored 28 points in the first quarter and 14 in each of the final three periods, led by Shawn Padberg's three second-half touchdown runs and Spencer Love's two scoring rushes. Quarterback Kyle Gasner had a pair of TD passes, to Landon Lozoya and TD Gross, and linebacker Kevin Brady started the scoring parade by returning an interception 16 yards for a touchdown.
