Viejas Outlet Jewelry Store Robbed
A trio of thieves robbed a jewelry store at the Viejas Outlet Center in Alpine, escaping with a sizable amount of valuables, officials said.
ALPINE, CA — A trio of thieves robbed a jewelry store at the Viejas Outlet Center in Alpine Tuesday, escaping with a sizable amount of valuables, authorities reported.
The robbery at the Daniel's Jewelers shop in the 5000 block of Willows Road was reported shortly after 11:30 a.m., according to sheriff's officials.
"A large amount of jewelry of various types was taken (but) the amount of the loss is yet to be determined by the victim," Sgt. Kelly Moody said.

The robbers, men who appeared to be in their 20s, fled in a dark- colored sedan that was found abandoned about a mile west of the store a short time later. No detailed descriptions or surveillance photos of the thieves were immediately available.
