Woman Fatally Struck By Car In El Cajon
The victim, who was in her 50s, was not in a marked crosswalk, police said.
EL CAJON, CA – A woman who was fatally struck by a car in El Cajon was not in a marked crosswalk, police said Tuesday.
The victim, who was in her 50s, was hit by an Acura sedan in the 200 block of North Mollison Avenue around 8:45 p.m. Monday, according to El Cajon police. She was taken to a hospital, but later died.
The woman had been walking with a relative when she was hit, but that person was not injured, police told reporters at the scene.

The 19-year-old driver involved in the crash was also unhurt. Police said he remained at the scene and was not suspected of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
