17-Year-Old Saratoga Boy Killed in Crash
The accident happened Saturday in San Mateo County.

SARATOGA, CA - A 17-year-old Saratoga boy was killed in a solo-vehicle crash on Highway 35 Saturday. It happened in San Mateo County near the Santa Cruz County line, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The teen's name has not been released.
The crash was reported just before noon. Investigators closed the road in both directions until 4 p.m. as they looked into the cause.

After receiving a report, CHP officers found a 2015 4-door Audi sedan down an embankment and a boy trapped inside. According to Bay City News, CHP officials said it appears the young driver was speeding when he lost control of the car on wet pavement, veered off the road and hit a tree.
