NAMIWalks is more than a walk. It is a day of connection, hope, and community action to raise awareness about mental health, fight stigma, and remind individuals and families affected by mental health conditions that they are not alone.
Mental health touches all of us—our families, friends, workplaces, schools, and communities. By walking together, we can help create a Santa Clara County where conversations about mental health are welcomed, people feel comfortable asking for help, and everyone has access to support when they need it.
NAMIWalks Silicon Valley is free and open to everyone. Individuals, families, friends, companies, schools, community organizations, and teams are all encouraged to participate. Whether you walk in honor of someone you love, in support of your own mental health journey, or simply because you believe mental health matters, we invite you to join us.
Funds raised through NAMIWalks help NAMI Santa Clara County continue providing free mental health education, support groups, advocacy, and resources to individuals and families throughout our community.

Family caregiving can be one of life’s most meaningful—and most challenging—roles. While many of us will become caregivers at some point, few feel fully prepared when the responsibility arrives.
This one-time workshop will offer practical guidance and support from a physician, social worker, registered nurse, and pastor. Fellow caregivers will share their experiences, and participants will receive self-care suggestions, helpful resources, and opportunities to connect with others who understand the caregiving journey.
Presenters include Dr. Gary Lee, geriatric, hospice, and palliative care physician; Danette Flippin, geriatric social worker; Donna Bell, registered nurse and parish nurse; and Rev. Erik Swanson, senior pastor at Westhope Presbyterian Church.

Don’t miss this eco-friendly artisan event: Nearly 40 local makers! Uniquely beautiful, sustainably-handcrafted fine art, fashion, home decor items, jewelry, toys, gifts, holiday items and pet accessories. All artisan items will be crafted from the 70+ tons of textiles and other discarded designer materials the non-profit FabMo diverts from Bay Area landfills each year. Sunday, October 4, 11am-4pm at the Los Altos Community Center, 97 Hillview Avenue. In addition to the artisanal wares, a curated collection of vintage linens and other curios will be sold, along with $5 Mystery Gift Boxes containing a variety of small but unique handmade items. Proceeds from the above will go to support FabMo’s mission to inspire creative reuse.

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 15 — SIP HAPPENS Discover fresh voices on screen, then keep the conversation flowing at Big Basin Tasting Room. Wine, bites, and fireside conversations bring filmmakers and film lovers together.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 17 — THE S’MORE THE MERRIER &nbsp;Spend the day exploring the film lineup, then trade your theater seat for some ocean air. Our beachside gathering with Dream Inn brings the community together for fire pits, s’mores, and conversations under the Santa Cruz sky.
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 18 — BRUNCH WITH BENEFITS + CUE THE APPLAUSE Start with brunch and industry conversation about Ai in FILM at Hotel Paradox, catch more festival films, and join us for our Closing Night screening at the Rio Theatre. Then it’s back to Hotel Paradox for the awards celebration and one final toast.
