Crash Had Hwy 9 Closed In Both Directions This Morning
The injury accident closed the roadway for hours before reopening around 5 a.m.

Both directions of state Highway 9 in unincorporated Santa Clara County are now open after an overturned vehicle accident caused extended closures this morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The vehicle was first reported rolled off the highway near Redwood Gulch Road at 11:48 p.m. Monday, CHP officials said.
A sig-alert was issued at 1:01 a.m. this morning closing the highway from state Highway 35 to Sanborn Road due to equipment blocking the roadway, according to CHP officials.

At 2:12 a.m. CHP officials estimated that the roadway would be closed for at least another three hours as injured passengers and damaged vehicles were still being recovered.
The sig-alert was cancelled at 4:45 a.m. as the roadway was cleared.
