Hakone to Host 5th Annual Fundraising Gala on Sept. 15

June Kuramoto to Headline Entertainment

SARATOGA, CA (August 12, 2019) – Hakone Estate and Gardens, one of the oldest Japanese gardens in the United States, will host its 2019 Hakone Gala on Sunday, Sept. 15 from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Proceeds benefit the Hakone Foundation, which maintains and improves the gardens and cultural buildings, and provides programming to preserve and generate awareness around Japanese culture.

The gala, with Master of Ceremonies Robert Handa of NBC Bay Area, will begin with a welcome reception and feature an exciting evening of musical entertainment, performed by June Kuramoto & Kimo Cornwell of the Grammy Nominated Band, Hiroshima.

The evening will start with delicious food, wine, beer, and sake, and a silent auction with items ranging from Kimonos and sake to a private sailing experience on the Bay, Sharks tickets, Day on the Delta, and gift baskets filled with local wines, dinner certificates, and more.

Tickets cost $200 per person (those who purchase 10 or more tickets get priority seating) and can be purchased in the Hakone Gift Shop or online at https://hakonegala2019.eventbrite.com All General Parking will be at Federated Church. Complimentary Shuttles will be running to and from Hakone and Federated Church.
