The Heart of the West -- San Jose Wind Symphony

San Jose Wind Symphony and tuba soloist Patrick Sheridan present "The Heart of the West" featuring works by Bartz, Gould and Nelson.

On Sunday, December 6, at 3:00pm, the San Jose Wind Symphony will present “The Heart of the West,” a joyous excursion to that wild, wild era in American history when the cowboy was king and buffalo roamed the land. The Wind Symphony’s special guest is Patrick Sheridan, internationally renowned tuba virtuoso. Featured works include Jonathan Bartz’s engaging Tall Tales: Pecos Bill and Morton Gould’s southwestern masterpiece Santa Fe Saga. The concert will be at McAfee Center, 20300 Herriman Ave. in Saratoga. Tickets are $5 for students, $15 for seniors and $20 for general admission.
