"The Heartbeat of America" with the San Jose Wind Symphony

Getting under the skin of some typical American composers to find out what makes them tick.

On Sunday, October 4, at 3:00pm, the San Jose Wind Symphony will present “The Heartbeat of America,” getting under the skin of some typical American composers to find out what makes them tick. The Wind Symphony’s special guest is Steve Sanchez, a clarinet virtuoso with the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, performing Scott McAllister’s Black Dog, a pyrotechnic rhapsody inspired by classic hard rock. The concert will be at McAfee Center, 20300 Herriman Ave. in Saratoga. Tickets are $5 for students, $15 for seniors and $20 for general admission.
