Medical Offices, Day Care on Saratoga Council's Agenda Tonight
Meeting begins at 7 p.m. tonight at the Civic Theatre, 13777 Fruitvale Ave.

The Saratoga City Council will meet at 7 p.m. today, Wednesday, June 19, at the Civic Theatre/Council Chambers, 13777 Fruitvale Ave. to discuss the following:
- Ceremonial item: Commendation for Michael Wayne Bitner
- Presentation: Affordable Housing Impact Fee presentation
On the consent agenda, which allows the five-member body to approve all items with one vote unless an issue is pulled out for discussion, are:
- Orchard well pump replacement, fiscal year 2012-13 budget adjustment
- Fingerprint ID System from the City of San Jose to Santa Clara County
- Memorandum of Agreement, Recycling and Waste Reduction Technical Advisory Committee
- Civic Theater/Council Chambers Master Plan award of contract
- Adoption of an ordinance rezoning a one-acre parcel located at 14001 Chester Ave. and applying agricultural preserve/open space overlay zoning to entire site
- Resolution in support of Food and Drug Administration regulation of menthol in cigarettes and flavoring in other tobacco products
On the public hearing portion of the agenda, which allows speakers to address the Council on issues being considered:
- Appeal of the Planning Commission’s denial of a proposed two-story building with medical offices and day care uses at 12250 Saratoga-Sunnyvale Rd
- Heritage tree inventory
