Photos: Newly Sworn Saratoga Council Leaders' Reception

After declaring the results of the Nov. 6 general election, Saratoga City Clerk Crystal Bothelio administered the oath of office to re-elected Council members Howard Miller, Manny Cappello and Vice Mayor Emily Lo during a special Council reorganization meeting Wednesday evening at the civic theatre.

Former Mayor Chuck Page was thanked for his one-year of service in the city's top leadership position and the Council was then "reorganized" with Councilwoman Jill Hunter officially becoming the city's mayor.

Several leaders from different West Valley communities joined the local officials for a short reception in the theatre lobby, which included light refreshments. Among them was Campbell Mayor Evan Low, Cynthia Chang, a trustee for the Los Gatos-Saratoga Union High School District, Assemblyman Paul Fong, Santa Clara Valley Water District 5 Director Nai Hsueh and Hakone Gardens representatives.
