Saratoga Election Night Festivities

The candidates in the races that matter to Saratoga and Monte Sereno residents are watching Election Day results come in at various local restaurants such as C.B. Hannegan's, Hong's and in the comfort of their homes.

Saratoga City Council candidates Howard Miller, Manny Cappello and Tim Gorsulowsky had different plans for watching Election Day results today.

Miller, who's seeking his second four-year term on the Council, said he and his family would join Saratoga resident Katherine Tseng's celebration at Hong's Gourmet restaurant on Big Basin Way in Saratoga.

Tseng is going after one of two open seats on the Los Gatos-Saratoga Union High School District Board of Education.

Cappello, also seeking a four-year term on the Council, said he was teaching a class at DeAnza College tonight until 8:20 p.m. and would afterwards join 18th state Assembly District candidate Chad Walsh at an undisclosed gathering, where no media was being allowed. Wash is running against Democratic Assemblyman Paul Fong. Gorsulowsky said he didn't have any plans.
