Saratoga High Named Top Science, Math School
U.S. News & World Report says prestigious campus is in the 1 percentile of schools nationwide.
U.S. News & World Report has named Saratoga High School the 31st top school in California in science, technology, engineering and math, or STEM academics.
“We’re very proud of the U.S. News and World Report rankings,” said Saratoga High School Principal Paul Robinson. “It shows that our students and staff work hard together on rigorous and relevant curriculum every day.”

So, what are the teachers and students doing at Saratoga High that helps them stand out above the rest?
“I don’t know if we do anything different other than we try to give our students every opportunity to work on real world issues and solutions,” said Robinson. “Our students thrive on the rigor because they know that teachers care about their learning. From that our students feel safe to take risks and push their learning higher and higher.”

The science and math advanced placement - or AP class - participation rate at Saratoga High School is 71 percent.
“STEM education is not a program at SHS, it’s a conversation in every classroom that asks how far can you go,” said Robinson. “That’s why our students love to take more math and science classes beyond what is required. They love to reach and know they’re supported by our staff.”
The school also boasts a very impressive API score of 931 and a 97 percent college enrollment rate.
