Saratoga High School Presents 'Thoroughly Modern Millie'

Saratoga High School presents the musical comedy "Thoroughly Modern Millie," at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, March 1-2 and at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 3 at the McAfee Performing Arts Center, 20300 Herriman Ave.
Tickets went on sale Feb. 4 and the show premiered last night to a sold-out crowd who enjoyed the dozens of talented young actors who recreate the story of a young woman and her adventures in the Big Apple.
The play is under the direction of Saratoga High School drama teacher Sarah Thermond, the musical choreography of Sue Dine and the technical direction of Adrian Stapelton.

SHS performing arts student groups helping with the play are the drama club, student productions, SHS Improv Group, International Thespian Society Troupe No. 6354 and the tech crew.
The play is under the auspices of the Saratoga Theater Arts organization, a parent group that promotes the art of drama in Saratoga schools. Its goal is to have a vibrant, fun, creative, healthy, sustainable, cooperative, informed and open drama community.

The nonprofit provides financial assistance to school drama programs through grants for drama projects, programs, equipment, materials, facility upgrades and stipends. It also coordinates and provides volunteer assistance for drama events.
Tickets are $15 adults and $10 students and seniors.
