In total, 26,103 students took the AP computer science A exam in 2012.
Edgar’s teacher, Debra Troxell, said: "The high level concepts of computer science were easily understood by Edgar. He was able to finish programming assignments very quickly and they were consistently well written and logically organized. He would spend many computer lab days walking around and helping other students. I look forward to his success in college and hope a computer science related career is in his future."
LGSUHSD assistant to the superintendent Jane Marashian said the achievement was an incredible accomplishment for Edgar. "Congratulations to Edgar, Ms. Troxell, and all our AP computer science students," Marashian said.
