Free party takes place noon-4 p.m. Saturday, May 18.

The Saratoga Library will be celebrating its 10th anniversary in its building, 13650 Saratoga Ave., noon-4 p.m. Saturday, May 18.
The Friends of Saratoga Libraries and a City of Saratoga event grant host the free event.
The public will enjoy live music, meet local authors and poets, play free carnival games, tour the library and bookmobile, visit with local firefighters, join a scavenger hunt, learn more about eBooks and have lunch at food trucks.
At 1:15 p.m. the public is invited to the special "meet the authors" conversation and book signing in the library's community room.
Among those in attendance will be writers Linda Baxter, Meg Clayton, Amy Gibson, Grammies Jan Eby, Laurie Mobilio, Lynne Noel, Cindy Summers, Chrsty Hale, Lenore Harris, Nils Peterson and Kristin Venuti.
The library also celebrated its milestone by hosting a bookmark contest. The competition, with the theme of "Saratoga Library—Heart of the Community," was open to kindergartners through adults.
Winning designs will be distributed to the public during facility's party that will also include cake, a book sale by the Friends of Saratoga Libraries.
The library parking lot will not be available on event day, according to organizers. The public can park in nearby lots such as those of St. Andrew's School, or at the Civic Center.
