Saratoga's Argonaut Elementary School Hosts 'Cool to Care' Week

Last week was Project Cornerstone "Cool to Care" week at Argonaut Elementary School in the Saratoga Union School District.

The students had a "Mix it Up Lunch" where children sat by color groups and interacted with students they might not have otherwise, according to the district's posting on its Facebook page.

"It was a fun day of making new friends and mixing it up!" the district wrote on the posting.

Project Cornerstone is centered around 41 developmental assets, which are the positive values, relationships, skills and experiences that help children and teens thrive, according to the program's website.

"Young people with high asset levels are most likely to make healthy choices, while those with lower asset levels are more likely to get involved with negative or risky behaviors like violence, trouble in school, drug and alcohol use and more.
