Saratoga's Saint Andrew's Episcopal School Celebrates 'Pi Day'

Campus activity is among many in South Bay Thursday investigating the famous irrational number, pi.

Saratoga's Saint Andrew's Episcopal School, 13601 Saratoga Ave., celebrated the mathematical Pi Day Thursday by investigating, discovering and analyzing the most famous irrational number, pi.

In addition, the pre-kindergarten through eighth-grade school and its 376 students enjoyed a piece of pie during their lunch period.

The local campus activity was among many other numerical celebrations that took place in the Bay Area for Pi Day, observed on the 14th day of the third month, which aligns with the first three digits of pi, 3.14, which is the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter.
