Saratoga Village Scarecrows

Written by Laurel Perusa

90 fun and festive scarecrows located up and down Big Basin Way are ready to meet and greet visitors to the village. The Saratoga Village Scarecrow Project is the inspiration of Leslee Warwick, owner of the Barn Owl gift shop in the village. The Saratoga Scarecrow Project is fast becoming a beloved autumn tradition in the village.

Come to the village and see for yourself this extraordinary collection of scarecrows. Some scarecrows are tiny, and some are huge. Some scarecrows are traditional, some scarecrows are very dramatic. Count the ghost scarecrows, count the witch scarecrows, count the musician scarecrows, count the scarecrows dressed as children!

The scarecrow project is unique. Saratoga is the only community in Santa Clara County who can boast such an assortment of scarecrows. This project is a reflection of the strong sense of community Saratoga fosters. Business owners, residents, and community organizations have stepped forward to create a multitude of scarecrows for all to enjoy. Bring family and friends for this exciting autumn experience. Scarecrows will be in place until November 1.
