Sheriff's Log: Transient Arsonist Fails to Register

The following arrest information was obtained by Patch from the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office. It does not indicate a conviction.

Vehicle Code Violations

  • A 25-year-old Manteca man was arrested at 9:40 a.m. July 17 on Big Basin Way and 3rd Street in Saratoga for misdemeanor driving with privileges suspended or revoked, having a suspended license and an infraction for an expired registration.
  • A 24-year-old San Jose woman was arrested at 1:05 a.m. July 22 on 4th Street and Big Basin Way in Saratoga for two infractions related to failing to provide evidence of financial responsibility of vehicle, a license plate violation and misdemeanor driving with privileges suspended or revoked.
  • A 57-year-old San Jose man was arrested at 1:30 a.m. July 28 at Prospect Road and Saraglen in Saratoga for misdemeanor driving with privileges suspended or revoked and two infractions related to failing to provide evidence of financial responsibility of vehicle and having an expired registration.
  • A 43-year-old Sunnyvale man was arrested at 12:41 p.m. July 27 at Quito Road and Paseo Olivos in Saratoga for an infraction related to using a wireless telephone device while driving and misdemeanor driving with privileges suspended or revoked.
  • A 28-year-old Gustine, CA man was arrested at 9:30 a.m. July 9 on Prospect Road and Miller Avenue in Saratoga for misdemeanor driving with privileges suspended or revoked and an infraction for driving without due caution.
  • A 27-year-old San Jose woman was arrested at 5:10 p.m. July 12 at Saratoga Avenue and Vineyard Lane in Saratoga for misdemeanor hit-and-run.
  • A 31-year-old Sacramento man was arrested at 7:36 p.m. July 8 at Saratoga-Sunnyvale and Prospect roads in Saratoga for an infraction related to lighting equipment of required type and misdemeanor driving with privileges suspended or revoked.
  • A 20-year-old Yakima, WA man was arrested at 2:38 p.m. July 27 at Saratoga and Cox avenues in Saratoga for an infraction related to failing to failing to provide evidence of financial responsibility of vehicle and misdemeanor driving with privileges suspended or revoked.

Court Order Violation

  • A 77-year-old Sunnyvale man was arrested at 8:35 p.m. Aug. 2 on Rubis Drive in Saratoga for misdemeanor violation of court order to prevent domestic violence. Bail set at $5,000.

Failure to Register After Arson Conviction

  • A 24-year-old Saratoga transient was arrested at 5:10 a.m. Aug. 2 on Big Basin Way and 4th Street in Saratoga for misdemeanor failure to register after an arson conviction.
