SJWS Loves Opera
San Jose Wind Symphony and mezzo soprano Layna Chianakas present "SJWS ♥ Opera" featuring works by Offenbach, Bizet, Wagner and Puccini.
On Sunday, February 28, at 3:00pm, the San Jose Wind Symphony will present “SJWS ♥ Opera,” a step back in time to experience that most deeply human art form as it was practiced in its golden age in the concert halls of Europe. The Wind Symphony’s special guest is Layna Chianakas, the breathtaking mezzo soprano from Opera San Jose. Featured works include selections from Offenbach’s La Belle Helene, Bizet’s Carmen, Wagner’s Die Walkure and Puccini’s Turandot. The concert will be at McAfee Center, 20300 Herriman Ave. in Saratoga.
